Overview:

Let’s Play a Game is a 2D scide-scrolling platforming horror game. The goal of the game is for the player to guide their avatar to the end of each increasingly difficult platforming puzzle, all the while avoiding various traps and enemies. At the end of each puzzle lies a key that takes the player to the next level and ultimately out of the abyss.

Platform: PC

Genre: Horror, 2D Platformer

My Take:

The concept for Let’s Play a Game came as a challenge to create a game in a while capturing player progression. As the producer of this project, the singe week development period was a difficult trial to overcome, but as a team we were able to simplify our process and make a really solid game. First we spent some time creating our core game mechanics; then I allocated the small amount of art assets required for our game. Next I assigned a new game mechanic for each pair of levels and designated a level set to each member of our team. Finally, I integrated all of our levels into our final product. Ultimately, this was one of the most challenging games I have produced but I believe it is one of the most fun.
